Holistic
Holism (Greek: holon, the whole) is the idea that the properties of a system (physical, biological, economic, etc.) can not be explained by taking the sum of its components
In a holistic massage, it is considered that the whole is more than the sum of its parts. From this starting point we not only treat the body, but we also work with our mental, emotional and spiritual levels. The masseur is attentive to the whole person with his or her own unique, personal background.
It's all about contact and awareness. This leads to a meditating and soothing experience for both the giver and receiver.
During a holistic massage on the table there are several techniques used to meet the needs of the body. A session is tailored and therefore never the same.
